Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern inquiries, bookings and stays at Villa Mare Blue (“the Property”) located in Croatia. By sending an inquiry, making a reservation or staying at the Property, you agree to these Terms.

2. Inquiries and Booking Confirmation

• Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee availability.
• A booking is confirmed only after we send written confirmation (email/WhatsApp) and any required payment is received.
• You must provide accurate guest details and contact information.

3. Prices, Tourist Tax and Fees

• Prices are shown in [EUR] unless stated otherwise and may vary by season.
• Any applicable Croatian tourist tax and mandatory fees will be communicated before confirmation.
• Optional services (e.g., transfers, late check-in) may incur additional charges.

4. Payment Terms

• Payment methods: bank transfer and/or card via invoice link and/or cash on arrival (as agreed).
• To secure the booking, a deposit of 30% is required within 3 days of confirmation.
• The remaining balance is due before arrival or on arrival (as agreed in writing).
• Bank/transfer fees are the guest’s responsibility unless agreed otherwise.

5. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit of 300€ is required. It is used to cover damages, missing items or excessive cleaning. If no issues are found, the deposit is returned within 7 days after check-out (or released immediately for cash deposits).

6. Check-in / Check-out

• Check-in: from 16:00
• Check-out: until 10:00
• Early check-in / late check-out is possible only with prior agreement and may be charged.

7. Occupancy and Visitors

• Maximum occupancy: 8 guests (including children) unless agreed otherwise.
• Only registered guests may stay overnight.
• Day visitors are permitted only with prior approval. Events/parties require written approval.

8. House Rules

• No smoking indoors. Smoking is allowed only in designated outdoor areas.
• Respect quiet hours: 22:00–08:00.
• Pets: not allowed.
• Pool use is at your own risk. Children must be supervised at all times.
• Please take care of furniture and equipment. Do not move heavy furniture.

9. Damages and Liability

Guests are responsible for any damage caused by themselves or their party. We are not liable for loss, theft or damage to guests’ personal property. Use of the Property and facilities (including pool) is at the guest’s own risk, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Maintenance / Access

We may need to access the Property for urgent maintenance or safety reasons. Where possible, we will inform you in advance. Routine maintenance (e.g., pool/garden) may take place during reasonable daytime hours.

11. Cancellation Policy

The cancellation conditions are stated in your booking confirmation and may vary by season and rate. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

• Cancellation more than 30 days before arrival: 70% refund of the total amount paid.
• Cancellation within 30 days before arrival or no-show: no refund.
• We recommend purchasing travel insurance.

12. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions, war, strikes, utility failures). In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule where possible or apply the policy stated in your confirmation.

13. Privacy

Personal data is processed according to our Privacy Policy.

14. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent court in Croatia, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version applicable to your booking is the one provided with your confirmation.
